PHOENIX, AZ, February 7, 2022 –– Despite the challenges presented in the past two years by the pandemic, OEM auto parts eCommerce has continued to show significant growth, according to a report released today by automotive parts ecommerce company RevolutionParts.
The organization’s 2021 Parts eCommerce Report looks at key findings across more than 1,500 dealers who sold more than 578M million in parts in 2021.
Highlights of the report include:
- Overall parts sales increased from 421M to 578M.
- The percentage of purchases made on a mobile device grew by 8.4% in 2021 to 49%, making a mobile-friendly shopping experience critical for online sellers.
- Dealers saw their Amazon sales grow almost 21% from 2020 to 2021, showing how essential selling parts through marketplaces is.
- In 2021, dealers selling through RevolutionParts sold 1.7 million more parts than in 2020.
